This exhibition is most likely for free. Probably no ticket is needed. “Die Unterlagen befinden sich im Zustand der Ablage” explores the interplay between archival materials and contemporary art. Organized by the Künstlerverbund im Haus der Kunst e.V. in collaboration with the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte, the exhibition features works by eight artists who engage with historical documents from the archive of the Ausstellungsleitung München e.V., dating from 1948 to the present. These documents include correspondence, protocols, exhibition materials, and photographs, many of which are publicly displayed for the first time. The artists’ interpretations bridge the gap between past and present, offering insights into the evolution of Munich’s art scene post-World War II.
